Gold engagement rings

An engagement ring is more than just a piece of jewellery. Along with the gift of a beautiful gold ring, possibly with a diamond, you’re presenting a symbol of your everlasting love. Lovely, isn’t it? Of course, this also means you’re willing to go all the way to find a unique engagement ring for your beloved. You want a ring that symbolises your love, but also suits your intended’s personal style and taste in jewellery.

Choosing an engagement ring

You know for sure that you want to ask your partner to marry you. How to choose the right engagement ring for that special man or woman, though? That can be a leap in the dark. Don’t worry. We’re more than happy to guide you through the entire process. From choice of material and ring size to which finger to put the ring on.

How do I know what style to pick?

Have a sneaky peek at your intended’s wardrobe and look inside their jewellery box. Do they have mostly silver-coloured pieces? Or does gold prevail? This should determine your choice of material. We would also be happy to help you figure out the best style, of course.

How do I know what ring size I need?

How do I know what ring size I need? The most accurate way to determine their size is for you to borrow a ring belonging to your partner so we can measure it. Note that this should be a ring worn on their ring finger!

How far in advance should I order an engagement ring?

Timing is key. Especially for engagement rings. Think about when you plan to ask the big question. You should count on three months for pieces from our collection, or four to five months for a new design.

What does an engagement ring cost?

Our diamond engagement rings start at €1200. The ultimate price of your engagement ring will depend on the design, personalisation and choice of diamond.

Frequently asked questions about engagement rings

Lab grown diamonds are real diamonds, only their origin is different. These diamonds are created in a laboratory instead of being mined from the earth. A lab-grown diamond is more ethical and better for the environment, but otherwise identical to a natural diamond. Learn more about lab-grown diamonds.

The difference between 14 and 18 carats is the percentage of pure gold. 18 carat gold is 18 out of 24 parts gold and is yellower and warmer in appearance – if you pick yellow gold, that is. Rose gold will look best at 18 carats, for instance. 14 carat gold contains a lower percentage of gold, making it somewhat more affordable, but also more resistant to wear and with its own quality appeal.

Good question! It’s traditional to wear your engagement ring on your left ring finger, in a direct line to your heart. Romantic, isn’t it? When marrying, you’d usually move your engagement ring to your right hand. Sometimes the fingers on your left and right hands are different sizes, however, making a switch problematic. Some people therefore opt to wear their engagement ring on the right from the start, or to wear both rings on the left once married. It’s all good, in other words.

No worries. Make an appointment to visit our studio together with your fiancé(e) and we’ll adapt your engagement ring to fit correctly.

After we’ve agreed on and approved your design or you’ve ordered a piece from our online shop, actually making your jewellery will take another three or four weeks.

Visits to our studio in Antwerp are by appointment only. Appointments are possible every Friday and Saturday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Are these times inconvenient? Get in touch and we’ll figure out an alternative together.
